MITIGATION FEES

All permits for construction within the Truckee Fire Protection District are subject to Development Impact/Fire Mitigation fees and must be paid prior to permit issuance. You will also need to submit a complete set of plans to be reviewed by Truckee Fire.

You can accomplish both the plan review and mitigation fee submission at once by visiting our Plan Review page.

If you have already submitted your plans, and simply need to obtain your mitigation fee calculation, please email the following document to us at mitigation@truckeefire.org.

  • Placer County: submit your Permit Issuance Checklist.

  •  Nevada County: submit your Preliminary Building Permit.

  •  Town of Truckee:

    • For residential no submission required. Fees will be collected by the Town of Truckee upon the issuance of your permit.

    • For commercial projects please upload your Non-residential/Tenant Improvement Permit Request that includes your square footage breakdown (industrial, commercial, and office).

Please allow 3 business days for our staff to calculate the fees due and respond to you via email. We accept all major credit/debit cards (3.5% convenience fee applies) or personal checks which can be mailed to us at:
